Cultivate918 is a monthly networking and educational event designed to bring new people into the entrepreneurial community. If you’re new to entrepreneurship or to Tulsa, this is a great place to start.
Weston Bergmann is the Lead Investor in Tulsa's newest business incubator/accelerator - BetaBlox. The program was founded five years ago in Kansas City and recently chose Tulsa as its first expansion city. BetaBlox has helped more than one hundred companies get off the ground with combined revenues that have more than doubled every year since its inception. The expansion was only possible through a formal partnership with the Oklahoma Innovation Institute. The first cohort of approximately ten startups will begin incubation on October 8th.
Weston will be speaking to the Cultivate918 group about the differences between incubators, accelerators, think tanks, co-working facilities, and seed funds. Each of which specialize in different things, at different stages of business, with different motivations.
