Responsibilities: Intern will assist in all Root editorial efforts, such as contributing to editorial meetings, conceiving and pitching Guides, writing new Place listings and doing other editorial maintenance on the Root content management system. Intern will also assist in managing the events page through the website. Responsibilities also include shooting photography and videography to be used on the Root site and social media accounts, attending and contributing to meetings with Roots many community partners, and assisting with digital and traditional marketing efforts. Our goal is to champion local businesses, culture and history!
Educational Background: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student studying Communication, Marketing, Videography or Photography
Skills and Experience: Familiar with digital marketing, enjoys working with people and is competent with a photo and video camera
Schedule: Spring 2018 internship at 10-15 hrs/week, schedule flexible with student
Compensation: This is an unpaid position, academic credit available with permission from academic institution
