Join us as Oklahoma-native Aniq Rahman shares the story of building his company MOAT- and eventually selling to Oracle for $850 million. Aniq will also talk about his experience investing in startups and give advice on how to find business capital.
Aniq Rahman Bio:
Aniq Rahman is President of Moat, a New York-based SaaS company which makes marketing analytics and intelligence software used by the world’s largest publishers, brands, agencies and technology platforms. Moat was acquired by Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) in 2017 for $850 million. Prior to Moat, Aniq was the CEO of Instinctiv, a media software company which was acquired by SoundCloud. Aniq was on the early team at Behance which was later acquired by Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE).
Aniq is an adjunct professor at Cornell University where he co-teaches the technology entrepreneurship course. Aniq joined the Cornell faculty in 2018.
Aniq is also a Partner at Vast Ventures and joined the firm in 2014 and is also an angel investor. Aniq’s investment focus is in enterprise software, consumer internet and frontier technology businesses. In 2017, Aniq was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30. Aniq studied as an undergraduate at Cornell University before leaving to pursue entrepreneurship. Aniq lives in Manhattan with his wife and was raised in Oklahoma.
