Russ Kirkpatrick is the co-founder of Kirkpatrick & Kinslow Productions, an Emmy Award-winning film production company. Russ and his team produce feature length films and documentaries, with the hope that their audience will be entertained and inspired. They also provide video messaging for companies and nonprofits.
Where and when do you get your best ideas? During a river trails jog or- my favorite- middle of the night epiphanies.
What’s a work tool or ritual that you couldn’t live without? Checking boxes, lists, and systems/processes.
What skill would you like to master? Shooting a movie on actual film --AND—craft beer production.
What advice would you give to someone seeking to launch or grow a business? Do. Not. Quit. Your. Day. Job.
What’s a big “win” you experienced in the past year? Worldwide distribution for our 2nd feature length documentary film.
What are you most looking forward to in the year to come? An expanding network of film-centric relationships moving Tulsa closer to a sustainable legacy film ecosystem.
