The Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup is a statewide collegiate business plan competition that simulates the real world process of researching a market, writing a business plan and making a presentation to potential investors.

With the Governor’s Cup competition, we are proving that Oklahoma has the resources and commitment to grow more entrepreneurs who will lead future startups that will create jobs and wealth for the state.

In the 11 year history…

  • More than 1500 college students have taken the Gov Cup challenge
  • Awarded $1.5M in cash, $80K in scholarships and $221K in fellowships
  • Produced more than 500 innovative ideas from 31 campuses statewide
  • Garnered 22 emerging Oklahoma small businesses

Tulsa Startup Series


Tulsa StartUp Series is a bimonthly business pitch competition to help Tulsa innovators get their ideas off the ground. The winner of each round gets $2,500 to go towards their startup, a three-month membership at 36 Degrees North, a three-month business mentor and an automatic entry to pitch in the Demo Day Finals in November. The Demo Day winner gets $15,000, a year-long membership to 36 Degrees North, and a year-long business mentor.

Past winners include The Pop House, Ediblend, Press Café x Yoga, ReLiveIt, Two Guys Bow Ties, T-Town Tacos, Tasty Towne and more.
