Momentum 3 Growth

Contact: Greg Peters,

Momentum 3 is a Tulsa-based startup incubator and accelerator. We will surround you with successful entrepreneurs and business leaders who have proven themselves.  We will work with you, using agile marketing techniques, to launch your business at lightning speed! We believe in future entrepreneurs’ business ideas and help them achieve their minimal viable products.  We aim to help refine that product and idea into a financial success. There is a reason we are the Premiere Tulsa Startup Incubator for Entrepreneurs.

We accept up to 12 companies for each batch. We keep our numbers low because we want to be able to focus all of our combined efforts on the best ideas, and begin to grow together, as a small group, while building a strong bond. You will also have the chance to be part of a community of entrepreneurs and share your advice as they help you. The secret is to get people thinking for you from every angle as to not fall on stagnant ideas and plans. You started with the idea and we are here to fan the flames and provide all you need to turn it into a roaring fire. In exchange, we become a very small minority shareholder in your startup and part of your Founder team.   We only make money when you reach a major liquidation event (think: IPO, strategic buyer acquires you, large dividends).  The program represents both a formal and informal agenda of mentoring, round-tables, and services for four months; followed by continued support from Momentum3Growth that will last for the life of your company.

Momentum3Growth’s  traditional offering was helping founder operated companies that were post revenue but looking to scale with services like technologywebsite and app developmentsocial media marketingdigital advertisingsearch engine optimization, accounting, office help, legal and COO type services.  Basically the “Amazon” of business services for entrepreneurs.

The Momentum3Growth Incubator is where we are concentrating on new pre-revenue businesses (and ideas) as well as small businesses looking to launch new areas of their company.   We are looking for individuals with the ideas and drive to grow quickly.  If you have the commitment then we believe we have a high likelihood of success by working with you.

The mission of the Center for Business Development is to provide customized support, education and training for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Meridian Technology Center’s district. Through the creation of new companies and the strengthening of existing companies we contribute to the expansion of our regional and state economy.

We connect with our communities through three primary activities:

1. Business Consulting & Coaching
We offer business consulting and coaching to companies and individuals within our district. We will consult with an aspiring entrepreneur to discuss the feasibility of an idea or engage in business coaching with a business owner. Whether you need marketing assistance, advice on identifying a new market for your product or service, or assistance learning how to hire great employees, we can help.

2. Business Incubation
Business incubation is a focused process including management guidance, technical assistance and tailored consulting for young, growing companies. We engage in business incubation with both Residential and Virtual Tenants. Residential Tenants access services and rent dedicated office or lab space for up to three years. Virtual Tenants access services but do not rent space. Clients can move easily between both tenant types depending on their business needs and situation.

3. Networking & Education Events
We organize opportunities for entrepreneurs and small businesses to listen and learn from each other. We also offer regular sessions on the basics of starting a business as well as partner with our local chambers of commerce to bring education and training events to the communities in our district.

Original discussions regarding opening a technology business incubator in Stillwater began in 1995. After benchmarking incubator and incubation models, funding was arranged and building commenced. The Center for Business Development opened its doors with a 15,000-square-foot facility in January 1998. The early years of the Center corresponded to the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s-early 2000s. During this time the focus of the incubator was on technology business development.

By the late 2000s, the facility was full and an expansion of an additional 6,000 square feet of light industrial space was made. There have been three directors of the Center during its life: Kay Wade, Amy Polonchek and Ron Duggins. The Center continues to serve a wide variety of clients, not only technology based, but also innovative companies working in fields such as software, medical support and food production.

We make startups better, faster – guaranteed. We accept roughly 10 teams at once that start-and-grow together cohort-style; similar what it’d be like making lifelong friends in a military’s bootcamp. Not only do each of these teams help each other out, we step in with a bevy of products and services that will add gasoline to a founder’s trajectory. Think of it as our contribution to the founding of your company. In exchange we become small minority shareholders in your startup with no voting rights or power. We like to think of ourselves as your co-founder who doesn’t expect a salary. We will only charge you once your company reaches a liquidation event (IPO, acquisition, dividends, etc.) – and even then, it’s just a pinch. The program represents a very structured and hands-on six months, followed by several years of value-added services. We start as an accelerator, grow into an incubator, and end as your friends and partners.

Roughly 10% of the people that apply to BetaBlox are admitted. We take all kinds of businesses, at various stages of development. We look for everything from scalable startups, to high revenue potential small businesses. We care very little about what you’re building, and instead care a TON about who you are. So if you’re awesome, don’t hesitate to apply today.
